Dataphor is an open-source application development platform designed to allow more declarative software development. In addition to providing distribution and support services for Dataphor, Alphora provides hosting and community support for the Dataphor project. FARS is a false alarm billing system designed by Purvis Gray Technologies, Inc. to allow government agencies to track and ultimately reduce false alarm incidences. Alphora is involved in the development and enhancement of the FARS system. For more information on FARS, see the Showcase page.

Alphora is always involved in research and development activities focused on finding new and improved ways to achieve software development productivity gains without sacrificing power or control. In particular, Alphora is actively engaged in trying to bring the reuse and encapsulation benefits of object-oriented approaches, together with the power and declarativity of relational approaches into a unified development platform.
